I’ve used both Firefox and it’s twin Thunderbird since they were first launched and love them both. Both of them are excellent bits of software and open source (so has a great price tag! £0, $0, EUR 0).

Thunderbird (like Firefox) has tabbed browsing for emails (and has done for a l-o-n-g time) along with many other features which help (like attachment reminder, smart folders, phishing protection, automated update and free add ons if there’s something which you need. If you don’t like the look and feel of Thunderbird – personal I think the latest version looks really good you can aqpply a skin (free).
