Curious Sheppie [Photo]
A new photo of Sheppie, looking curiously at the camera… particularly proud of this photo.

Added another photo to Sheppie’s page showing him all clean and fluffy post bath… just for once he had a bath that wasn’t because he’d rolled in something foul and smelly (usually fox poo! Which smells utterly vile!).
I have added a new photo of Sheppie to the Sheppie Page (click for a bigger version). He has a dog-o-soar all rubber frisbee, which is safe for dogs, cannot shatter in the mouth and if the friend you are dog walking with throws it and it hits you on the back of the head doesn’t hurt to much! Identity of the friend has been kept secret – they know who they are!!
You can get a dog-o-soar from the website Activate Your Dog.
Every so often Sheppie and I meet up with Sue and Finn in the park as well as Nicky and Marley. The dogs were having fun chasing tennis balls and frisbees. Fin’s a bit shy of and lacks confidence around other dogs and humans he doesn’t know. However Sue and I have noticed that recently Fin is loads calmer and more confident around other dogs when Sheppie is there. It’s almost as if he thinks he’ll be safe with a friend around. It took Finn months and months before he was chilled enough to let me stroke him; there’s only a couple of people who aren’t the owners he’ll let stroke him. Today on a few occasions he came and stood next to me and let me scratch his head and stroke him – it’s not down to treats or biscuits since he doesn’t scoff when he is down the park. I felt honoured.
Finn is such a lovely dog, with this amazing fur – although it looks like he’s been sniffing around in mud (or worse!), he just has a little patch of gingery fur around his muzzle. I chose my moment and got what I think is a lovely photo of Finn.
Another action snap of Sheppie this time catching a mid air biscuit. Quite proud of this photo especially as I was the one who threw the biscuit AND took the photo AND this shot was the first attempt. Of course Sheppie wouldn’t have minded if I’d made dozens of attempts
