I’ve always had an interest in science in general ever since I was small (between ages of 8 and 11 I wanted to be a marine biologist). A friend who I suggested Astronomy Picture of the Day Archive to returned the favour as it where by suggesting the brilliant Android App Google Sky Map.

I’m fascinated by the way that you hold your phone up to the Sky and it tells you what the stars, planets etc are in your view. It can also be used to “hunt” for something in the sky by giving directions. Even more interesting it has a “time machine” so you can look at the sky and see what stars were in the sky on a given date OR what will be in the sky at a paticular time or date.
