Tonight
Don’t worry about me tonight,
with my shattered heart,
when you lay there in his arms.
I wont be spending the night alone,
but with my transparent friends,
vodka and fresh tears.
They know me so very well,
after so many long nights,
taking away all the pain.
As we party the night away,
I feel the darkness descend,
relishing it’s ungentle touch.
Laying back no longer able to resist,
desperate to be seduced,
into a painless oblivion.
