It’s a year ago now,
since that first look,
when the heart found,
the head needed to learn.
One breathtaking moment,
of a wonderful magical kiss,
that stroked my soul,
and set my heart aflame.
All my bittersweet memories,
as I remember the treachery,
of that joyless day,
and tearful night.
Now there’s only my dreams,
of what could have been,
and the head now rules,
over my frozen heart.
