My friends, both online and offline are very special to me, some of them have made sure I am still here today. I asked them to describe me in a sentence or two... In my defence nights out with me aren't that dangerous - the way I figure it is: I'm not always in trouble, trouble just knows where to find me.
Holly (UK): Elliott is a fantastic mate with a great sense of humour. He's always there if I need someone to talk to.
Inge (Holland): aardig, grappig, je geeft om mensen en een goede (on-line) vriend. Goede poezie, coole foto's en vooral een goede muzieksmaak (in English - real nice, fun, caring person and a good (online) friend. Good poetry, cool photograhs and great taste in music)
Chelsea (UK): Very funny guy, good personality, great listener and a wicked sense of humour.
Seth (UK): Essentially a caring, intelligent, gentle person, usually talkative, sometimes outspoken..... also the mate I would most like to have around if I were to accidentally lose a limb during a night out.
Jason (Youth Leader at Church): Elliott is always willing to help, such a caring and conscientious man + cooks a mean cheese omelette!
Colour(s): Purple, Dark Blue and Silver.
Books/Author(s): There's masses of authors I like, as I enjoy curling up with a good book. I'm currently reading the brilliant book How to Make a Tornado: The strange and wonderful things that happen when scientists break free from New Scientist (more at Amazon). It's full of scientists doing weird and very funny stuff. Raymond E. Feist, Andy McNab, Tom Reynolds, Stuart Gray, Caroline Rance (lucky enough to meet her and get a signed copy of Kill Grief. She's lovely), Bernard Cornwell, Caroline Smailes![]()
and Adrian Plass...

Place(s): I love the hills around my home. London Zoo and London Eye will both have very special but bittersweet memories forever.
Food(s): My home made cookies, my home made omelettes (both are really good so friends tell me (see Jason above it would be rude not to agree :-D). I also like bacon and runny fried egg sandwiches.. well cooked breakfasts in general. I'm a self confessed chocolate addict and I have a really bad biscuit habit.
Drink(s): I very rarely drink alcohol, so it's a cup of tea (just a little milk and one sugar now), fruit juice or Milkshake (Frijj cookie dough is currently a favourite if you haven't tried it you should).
Possession/Thing(s): Sheppie obviously and my photo album of my daughter, in a fire I'd save those first. Hopefully I'd have time to save my laptop or least the backup drive/USB keys!!
Flower: Self Raising :-)
Quote(s): I love quotes, they've always fascinated me, one of my favourites is by Mary Anne Radmacher "Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow." Anyone who knows me well will know why that's a favourite.
A beautiful quote I really like is from one of my all time favourite books Magician by Raymond E Feist.
Softly she said, 'Father Tully says that some loves come unbidden like winds from the sea, and others grow from the seeds of friendship. '
'I will hope for such a harvest, Carline. But should it not come, still I will remain your good friend. '
I got Sheppie via dog rescue mid August and settling in really well. He was originally training as an explosives sniffer dog with the RAF. He proved a little too bright and when he found the explosives he barked loudly, got over excited and this apparently made people nervous! They passed his details over to the police as a possible drugs dog. So off went Sheppie to drugs dog training school and he got on really, really well right up until a night time training exercise when he found the torchlights on the ground more tempting to chase than the bad guys! He went to dog rescue for a while and then came to me.
Sheppie has a really bad tennis ball habit, he started cutting down at Christmas, with the arrival of a rubber frisbee (Dog-O-Soar). By Boxing Day he was making spectacular catches as it fell towards the earth. I will try and get one of his mid air catches in a photograph at some point.
I wasn't that bothered with him going in the kitchen until he climbed on the gas cooker and turned it on! In two days he worked out how to open the kitchen door despite it being flipped so it opened outwards. That didn't last long and now the handle has to open upwards to keep him out!
There is a photo album of Sheppie Photos.
